SME NEWS / 2018 Scottish Enterprise Awards 43 Glasgow FirmMakes New Appointment MGB Biopharma, the Glasgow-based clinical stage company that is developing a novel class of anti-infective drugs, announces the appointment of Dr Steve Felstead to its board. Steve was Vice President, Head of Clinical Research, Pharmatherapeutics Division at Pfizer Inc. and, since retiring from this position, has consulted widely on various programmes for pharma/ biotech companies and their investors. Steve is a member of AdALta Limited’s Scientific Advisory Board and a member of the Scottish Borders-based angels investment syndicate, TriCap. Earlier this year he was appointed to the role of Chief Medical Officer at Mironid, the Scottish-based pharmaceutical company. Ken Fyvie, Chairman of MGB Biopharma, said: “Steve brings a wealth of experience to the MGB Biopharma board and I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the business at this exciting time in its development.” Steve Felstead said: “MGB Biopharma is entering an important phase, with the impending Phase II trial for its lead drug, MGB-BP-3.
