Fleet Vehicle Movement Company of the Year 2018 - Staffordshire Founded in 2010 by William and Amanda Beech, AVT came about when the pair decided to utilise the skills obtained in previous occupations to offer a bespoke transport delivery service to the motor trade. William contacted AKFS Special vehicles in Andover to design a car transporter that would carry VW Passat’s, Golfs and other cars which would allow the company to delivery throughout the UK. AKFS came up with the Ultra Lightweight Fiat Ducato based truck, which formed the basis of this innovative company. Today, AVT operates 28 vehicles ranging from 3.5t gross capacity to 5.0t and 7.5t, allowing it to transport a large variety of vehicles, from cars through to vans and 4x4s. All of the firm’s vehicles are securely tracked using the latest tracking system operated via Fleetmatics. As such AVT’s transport office are able to monitor each truck and movement allowing them to stay in touch with the customer and end user reporting to them on traffic delays and estimated vehicle delivery times. This ensures that clients feel supported every step of the way when they work with this dynamic and proactive firm. To remain at the forefront of the latest developments in the market and ensure that clients continue to receive a cutting-edge service, AVT have introduced Samsung tablets into its fleet which are used to complete the MoDel deliveries required by the firm’s customers. The tablets also enable the firm to get great clear photographs of the cars they collect and deliver, which can then be provided to customers to assure them that the car has been delivered to the standard expected. Alongside their innovative solutions, the team at AVT pride themselves on their ability to provide high-quality service every time. It is this superb customer support that sets the firm apart from its competitors. AVT’s modern fleet of trucks and attention to detail help keep the firm at the top of its game and able to offer clients an award-winning range of solutions that keep them coming back for more. Currently, AVT is in the process of moving to a new site which is the next step forward for the firm and will enable it to further enhance its service offering. The firm has been operating from its site in Cresswell which was ideal in the beginning but has since become too small as the firm has achieved its incredible success and expanded to accommodate its clients’ ever- evolving needs. AVT’s new premises will be situated near to junction 16 of the M6 on the North Staffordshire/Cheshire border, and will offer the firm the chance to build upon its current achievements and offer even more innovative solutions to its valued clients.
