Having recently recognised Nicky in the Midlands Enterprise Awards for 2018 we invited her to talk us through her work. Female Life Coach of the Year 2018 - England Following a 20-year career in social work, Nicky started Nicola Bartley Ltd in 2014 to draw on her skills and knowledge to support a new range of clients. She talks us through how far the firm has come since the beginning. “Over the years, Nicola Bartley Ltd has flourished, and today my clients are predominantly Business Leaders or Leaders in large organisations who are struggling with various things such as stress, tight deadlines and heavy workloads, performance, breakdown of relationships in teams, sales etc. I understand that to my clients, the problems and the side effects of the problems have usually been prevalent for quite some time before they reach out and it can seem to them that they are almost at breaking point. “As we start working together it is always pretty amazing to see their relief as the simplicity of the solution unfolds. In essence, I show humans the implications of a busy mind and point them in the direction of their innate clarity, mental health and wellbeing and how there are no techniques, strategies or models that can help with that. The Mind is a self-clearing entity all of its own and the only thing that gets in the way is the effort we put in to try and manage our feelings. Instead, our attention is given to connection and the relationship between our inner world and our outer world. Everyone already has the innate capacity to thrive, be successful and to lead.” Currently, Nicky’s focus is on running workshops and programmes which inspire and support those new to the business environment, and this will be her ongoing focus over the coming years, as she proudly concludes. “Recently, I developed a new program called Dare to Dream, which has just begun. It has been 12 weeks of support and coaching for a female Business Leaders who are ready to take their dreams big and wider. I love working with those who have a burning desire to expand into new areas but do not know where to start. Watching them grow and move into possibility and creativity is amazing.
