We spoke with Lucidica’s Business Development Executive, Charlie Gibson, to find out more about the firm’s innovative approach to SME-focused IT services. That’s where Lucidica come in, as Charlie explains. “We work in partnership with our clients to help understand their business, their technological pain points and their priorities when it comes to growing their business. “We specialise in two main areas; onsite and remote IT support and managed services. Onsite and remote IT support is the foundation of the business and how Lucidica started. But since its inception, we now provide services such as product purchasing and consultancy, web development, marketing support and our tailored CRM systems. Managed services are one of the biggest growing areas of Lucidica with the growth of the Cloud and Lucidica bring a Microsoft Gold Partner and Google Business Partner.” Fundamentally, Lucidica have thrived through a commitment to client-centricity, understanding that meeting – and exceeding - client expectations is the key to long-term success in the sector. As Charlie moves on to discuss, building a strong rapport and establishing partnerships are two of Lucidica’s greatest strengths. “Undeniably, ‘getting the job done’ is essential to the success of Lucidica, however we see ourselves as more than just engineers behind a screen troubleshooting. We build relationships with all of our clients, advise them based on our experiences and support them by attending and celebrating their company’s milestones. Our client churn rate is minimal because we are not just an IT support company to our clients, we are a trusted adviser and IT department rolled into one.” Working primarily in London, the team at Lucidica often work with a variety of businesses, from one-man bands to teams of up to fifty individuals. Regardless of the size of the business, Lucidica’s goal remains the same – to help their clients grow through technology. From our apprentices to our Founder, everyone has a say and their own impact in how and where the business expands and develops.” Finally, as the interview comes to a close, Charlie comments on the future of Lucidica, and the challenges that they might face over the coming year. “The first thing that comes to mind when discussing challenges is the increasing amount of cyberattacks. We’ve had to educate, find better solutions and push our best cyber practices to our clients and there is still more to do. Cybercrime is ever evolving, and phishing emails are becoming more comprehensive and harder to avoid. Our aim will always be to protect our clients to the best of our ability. Other challenges are less challenges and more just changes within the industry. The move to the Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and eventually Virtual Reality has and will change the way we support clients but that’s one of the great things about the tech industry - It never stops moving forwards. “Our plan for 2019 is to build on what we’ve created in 2018. Whether that is by improving and developing an existing division or creating a whole new division such as product refurbishment.
