Paul Eaton tells us about the firm, its key to success and how it has fared during the Covid-19 pandemic. Established in 2017, We Influence specialises in a full range of digital marketing services, including PPC, social media, SEO, content, affiliate and email marketing. The firm’s mission is to catapult its clients to the next level of their growth by connecting them with more of their future customers. We Influence may only be a few years old as an agency, but it has already been on quite a journey to better understand how best it can help customers. Head of Marketing, Paul Eaton, explains more about the firm and its strategy. “As a new business in 2017, the team were naturally focused on building up a client base as quickly as possible, to prove ourselves in a competitive sector and to bring in as much new business as possible. “Over the past 12 months, we have changed direction and taken the decision to focus on a specific area of the market. We have now niched down to primarily work with eCommerce retailers and already that has proven to have been the correct decision.” Paul continues to tell us that the firm is not trying to be all things to all people, instead its expertise lies within the eCommerce sector. “We know what works and what doesn’t. That’s why we have never been afraid to say ‘no’ to a prospective new customer. We aren’t in this for a quick win, we want to build relationships and deliver results over a lengthy period of time. Client satisfaction is our number one goal.” For We Influence, success is defined by the number of long-standing clients it works with. The majority of its customers have renewed their initial contracts and many of them have now been there for several years. It is this committed and proactive client relationship which Paul believes helps We Influence stand out from competitors. The company is renowned for its regular communications with clients, whether it be good news, new opportunities or addressing any issues that arise. This constant communication ensures that both parties remain aligned in their goals and objectives to ensure a successful end result. This customer-centric strategy is also fantastic at winning the firm new business as, through wordof-mouth from satisfied clients, new businesses regularly come forward to speak to the team at We Influence. Not being based in one of the big North West cities, but instead just outside at Cheshire Oaks, has at times proved to be challenging as the firm fights to build its reputation and grow its business against the likes of firms found in Manchester and Liverpool. Thankfully, as a result of it demonstrable success over the last few years, We Influence’s reputation is now speaking for itself. Of course, the coronavirus outbreak this year proved to be challenging and Paul touches on how the firm fared. “When we went into lockdown back in March, we had no idea how we would be impacted in terms of clients cancelling or pausing campaigns. It was a worrying time, but we worked with all of our customers and helped navigate them through the period.” Key to all of the work during this period has been the determination from the team to come back stronger at the end of it.
