UK Enterprise Awards 2021

232 | UK Enterprise Awards 2021 Best Independent Funeral Directors - Wiltshire A compassionate and caring approach to funeral planning ensures that family-run firm, Iles & Vincent Funeral Services, stands head and shoulders above the rest. We speak to the firm’s founders about their business and how it differs to others. Iles & Vincent Funeral Services is an established, independent funeral director in Warminster that is dedicated to helping you celebrate the life of a loved one. Providing a personal and tailored service to meet all of its clients’ individual needs, be it a grand and traditional funeral ceremony, or a small and intimate service, Iles & Vincent aims to guide and support every step of the way. As Warminster’s only independent funeral director, clients always receive a warm and welcoming greeting when visiting the funeral home. All staff are fully trained, experienced and dedicated and will do everything possible to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible. Family focused, with a caring approach, the funeral home is run by Anna Iles and Beverley Vincent. Both partners are compassionate and sympathetic and have more than two decades of experience in arranging funerals across the region. “Our independence means we are not tied to particular ways of working, like some of the national providers,” say the two founders. “Rather, we can be completely flexible to meet the needs of each individual family. Burial or cremation, traditional church service to completely non-religious, themed or woodland burials, we are able to sensitively advise on all aspects of your loved one’s service and make all the necessary arrangements.” The partners understand that planning a funeral can be a very difficult time and therefore they are available to guide clients, helping them to make decision, at every step of the way. Once the plans are in place, Iles & Vincent will honour all instructions and take care of all the details, so that clients can have the space needed to think and spend time with their family. Beverley started working within the funeral profession as an administrator for a well- established, corporate funeral director in Trowbridge. From here, she progressed her role to become the branch funeral arranger. Beverley then transferred to another branch of the same company and became a fully-fledged funeral director. Here, Beverley was able to devote her time and efforts with kindness and solace to help each family arrange the funeral they wanted for their loved ones. Beverley progressed in her role from funeral director to manager, where she was managing four busy branches of the company, whilst continuing to arrange and conduct funerals with sympathy and affection, gaining respect and friendship from many of her bereaved families. Anna began her journey in the funeral industry as the Chapel Attendant at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington. Here, she looked after grieving families in the Chapel during the funerals and also attained her cremator licence. She brings with her a great understanding and knowledge of the crematorium. In her role at the crematorium, Anna worked for an established, independent, family run funeral director and worked as a trainee funeral director, soon earning her wings to be able to arrange and conduct her own funerals, looking after each family with empathy, warmth and tenderness. Anna was the proud winner of the Good Funeral Award 2015 for Most Promising New Funeral Director and, more recently, both Iles & Vincent have been awarded the prestigious accolade of Best Independent Funeral Directors – Wiltshire, a title which is testament to the dedication and professionalism of the firm.
