188 | UK Enterprise Awards 2022 TTC Group engaged in the original pilot scheme in England for what later became the Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) and today it is the UK’s largest and most experienced road safety organisation. We find out more about the company in the wake of it being recognised in the UK Enterprise Awards 2022. From humble beginnings as a family run business back in 1993, TTC 2000 Limited (TTC) has grown to become a leading UK provider of police and court referred Road Safety schemes, with its head offices based in Telford, Shropshire. The company is a Licensed Provider for the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS), appointed by 14 UK Police Forces to deliver NDORS services, and the UK’s largest provider of Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) courses, as well as the only organisation to be appointed by the Department for Transport (DfT), the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Department for Infrastructure. Today, TTC has been successfully delivering the DDRS and courses for drink drive offences for more than 25 years and is currently owned by private capital business Pricoa Private Capital, with the management team being led by Jim Kirkwood. “Our capabilities and services are driven by the needs of today’s businesses and wider social aims to improve the well-being and safety of all road users,” explains Jim, who the Group in November 2016 and led the Management Buyout (MBO) of the business that concluded in July 2017, with the support of Palatine Private Equity. “With a track record built over 28 years and educating 500,000 road users every year we have the experience and expertise in delivering programs which really make a difference.” TTC’s Continuum platform is a cloud-based Driver Risk Management Solution offers realtime 24x7x365 delivery of driver and fleet risk data. TTC supports commercial organisations in meeting their duty of care, harnessing the use of data intelligence and aggregation of multiple systems to help manage driver risk, whilst also achieving cost efficiencies. In 2000, the company gained approval from UKROEd to develop and deliver National Driver Most Educational Road Safety Company – West Midlands May22632 Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses on behalf of UK police forces, which was a significant step forward for the business. Today, is it appointed by 14 UK police forces to deliver the National Speed Awareness retraining. In 2007, it became TTC Group (UK), having acquired Cycle Experience Limited, one of the UK’s leading and largest cycle training providers and one of the first organisations to become a Bikeability scheme provider on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT). The company also extended its commitment to improving road safety amongst younger, vulnerable road users. “We are also the only organisation to be appointed and approved by the Secretary of State to deliver DDRS courses to all UK court areas, with nearly 300 locations throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.” Following a phenomenally successful and productive 4-year investment period, in May 2021, TTC proudly announced the successful sale of Palatine’s equity of the organisation, entering into a new and exciting investment deal with Pricoa Private Capital, the private capital business of Prudential Financial. Recently, the firm was recognised in the UK Enterprise Awards 2022 for it commitment by being bestowed with the prestigious accolade of Most Educational Road Safety Company in the West Midlands.
