For companies in many industries, the COVID-19 pandemic saw demand for their services fade away. Landscaping was not one of them, in fact, the opposite was true. As the public could no longer go on holiday or travel, their attention naturally turned to their gardens. The demand for landscaping services grew. For Darren Watt Landscaping, run by husband and wife team, Darren and Kelly Watt, the pandemic was an opportunity. Kelly explains, “We did find it a struggle to source some materials as the pandemic stopped a lot of imports. But we managed to find ways around this, and we were busier than ever. It was around this time we decided to grow our team.” At first, the company was Darren and Kelly with occasional help from family members. Understandably, the pair were nervous about expanding the team at first. But today Darren Watt Landscaping boasts a team of six. The company provides a host of hard and soft landscaping services and works mainly with domestic clients. With its wealth of industry knowledge, the company offers a full range of landscaping services from patios and paths, to drives, garden buildings and even dry stone walling.
