Plus the amount of space that each member has to exercise in is often larger than if it were a large leisure centre. “We capitalised on this as the safest place to be, so our membership grew stronger than ever,” the spokesperson elaborates. “We increased the amount of people trained per trainer to reduce the number in the gym, which in turn created better profit margins.” A large amount of importance is also placed on ensuring that the staff are happy in their workplace and weekly team meetings are held, with every staff member having two days off each week (one mid-week and the other at a weekend), to ensure a good work/life balance is maintained.
