SME News - Q4 2018

This year has delivered its own share of trials and tribulations for SMEs across the country, with 2019 looking to be no different. Naturally, Brexit remains a looming presence, fuelling uncertainty across the entire business landscape. Yet, 2018 has also been a year of great successes, with businesses around the country thriving and growing into new markets. By all regards, the British entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive and well.

In light of that, we endeavoured to take a look at a number of businesses who have achieved fantastic things over the last year, from marketing firms and design agencies, to ardent education establishments and best in class luxury travel agents.

On the cover of our Q4 edition of SME News is Threerooms, a leading branding agency based out of Nottingham. We spoke to Ian Morris, the firm’s Managing Director, to find out more about their ground-breaking work and innovative approach to marketing. During the interview, Ian discusses the importance of brand image in the modern age of business.

In a similar vein, we spoke with Helen Lewis, Director of Literally PR, about her passion for food and books, and the role it has played in forming the foundations for her company.  Literally PR is a boutique PR agency that specialises in inspired solutions for creative industries – primarily, the publishing sector.

Finally, on the subject of publishing, Soar Valley Life is a community publication delivered to 34,000 homes and businesses in the Charnwood and Leicestershire areas. We spoke with Soar Valley Life’s Editor, Co-Manager and Co-Owner, Steve Johns, to find out more.
