SME News Reveals the 2020 Winners of the Welsh Enterprise Awards

United Kingdom, 2021 – SME News is thrilled to announce the winners of the annual Welsh Enterprise Awards.

Despite the profusion of challenges that 2020 has presented to businesses in the UK, the economic community in Wales has fought tooth and nail to retain their position as a thriving centre for small and medium-sized enterprises. The Welsh people’s entrepreneurial spirit is unbreakable and has left a large imprint on both the UK and the wider world. Contributing significantly to the international entertainment industry, and responsible for inspiring the creation of the NHS, the nation of Wales has a lot to be proud of. The Welsh Enterprise Awards on SME News aims to shine a spotlight on the small businesses that display this interminable desire to succeed against all odds.

As the backbone of the Welsh economy, the country’s 265,000 SMEs constitute roughly 99% of its active businesses. Following a year when the growth of Welsh SMEs had increased remarkably, the events of 2020 were poised to impede this growth. However, due to investments from economic development programs such as BT’s Small Business Support Scheme, and the COVID-19 Wales Business Loan Scheme, SMEs in Wales were enabled to continue their influential work. Bolstered by this financial support, Welsh SMEs continued to show ingenuity and perseverance, adjusting their business practises to prepare for a post-Brexit world afflicted by an almost unprecedented health crisis.

In the face of these gargantuan obstacles, the Welsh small business community has still managed to perform spectacularly and continues to exhibit award-winning qualities. The Welsh Enterprise Awards on SME News serves to recognise those who had the mettle to excel during one of the most jarring and uncertain years in recent history.
