Dean Heritage Museum Trust

<p>The Dean Heritage Museum Trust was established to protect and promote the unique history and heritage of the Forest of Dean. Exhibits are displayed within a Grade 2 listed mill building, which has been through a variety of uses over its 200 year history. You can also explore a reconstructed Forester’s cottage, replica mine opening and a charcoal burner’s camp. The site has a millpond, beside which visitors can relax whilst enjoying homemade refreshments from the café. Younger visitors can enjoy a trail that tells the Gruffalo story through life-sized wooden sculptures. Special events take place throughout the year.<br /> www.deanheritagecentre.com</p>
