Established by Henry Riley Esq in 1890, following the success of his quantity surveying practice in London, the firm has been trading continuously ever since, growing substantially year on year. One of the reasons behind the firm’s success is its unique approach to businesswhichrevolvesaroundbeingresponsive, reliable,anddeveloping strong and ongoing relationships with clients. “We’re committed to client satisfaction,” enthuses Joel Neasham, Project Director and Newcastle Office Manager. “This underpins everything we do.” Joel has been with Henry Riley for over 15 years, carrying out the first part of his degree full-time, and then the final year whilst working at the law firm. This is a familiar pattern as Henry Riley has a loyal and passionate team and enjoys high staff retention levels, with a lot of the employees having worked for the company for several years – some even for several decades, and one for an incredible 50 years! “My role at the moment is to ensure the office runs smoothly and to give my support to the staff wherever I can,” he says. “From an office management perspective, it is key that the office runs efficiently in order to give our people the best platform to work in, whilst making it an enjoyable and comfortable environment. The ultimate aim is for the team to enjoy coming into work and to be happy in their working environment, and anything I can do to assist with this, I will look to do. I am also heavily involved in client management across our North East client base, it is important that I am actively involved in our service delivery making sure our clients get the best quality service we can deliver.” It is this dedication to the team that continues to ensure that Henry Riley distinguishes itself from competitors.
