We find out more as we speak to Jennifer Brookes-Bloom. Man With Van Can is an established removals and storage company, based in East Yorkshire, which provides house removals ranging from single rooms to large manor houses, as well as commercial removals for contract deliveries and office moves. The firm’s values are based on trust, value and ethical practices, as well as respecting everyone from all walks of life. “We have moved thousands of clients and people from all sorts of cultures and backgrounds,” explains Director Jennifer Brookes-Bloom. “We learn a lot from our customers, and, over the years, they have built us up to become the company we are today.” Whilst Man With Van Can competes on price, it does not compete on service and can guarantee quality each and every time to ensure complete client satisfaction. Regarding staff, Jennifer elaborates to tell us more about the company culture. “We work from the roots up,” she says. “We listen to our staff and the feedback they receive which is why we hold such a strong online and offline presence. When we started it was the Yellow Pages and business cards that we relied on for advertising. Now that we are digitised, the world is more transparent, and we see this as an advantage for others to truly see how good of a job we do every time.” The firm likes to employ good and honest staff who like to work hard and please others. “We love our staff, and they love their work,” enthuses Jennifer. “We will strive for this to always be the case. Other companies really should have open ears, you can learn a lot from your field staff, they’re truly the face of the business without them we wouldn’t be the company we are today.” Apart from being considerate to the public by wearing PPE and maintaining social distance, Jennifer and the team feel that the pandemic has brought Man With Van Can a little ‘closer’ to the public (or at least within a two metre distance). “We found the climate advantageous as lots of people were moving and we were honoured to reduce our pricing and give a little back to the city which has helped our family business grown over the years. Customer feedback was fantastic, and it was a pleasure to help. It felt like our duty,” Jennifer shares. It is due to this steadfast commitment to its customers and the local community that has seen Man With Van Can recognised in the SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2021 with the prestigious accolade of Best Domestic & Commercial Removals Company - East Yorkshire. And for now the future is looking very bright indeed for the company as we enter 2022. “Our plans are simply to bounce back and help the East Yorkshire area even more,” Jennifer states. “The pandemic has definitely humbled us, and we were all so grateful for the support and continued trade we received during this time.
