Having witnessed the technology landscape evolve and become more accessible over the years, the company is committed to empowering SMEs across the UK to compete on an equal technological footing with larger enterprises. INDIGO IT’s goal is to level the playing field by ensuring that SMEs have access to the same level of technology and security as their larger counterparts, empowering them to become leaders in their field. The company serves clients in many industries and business sectors, ranging from fast food to publishing, but its specialisms lie in SME sized businesses. Today, INDIGO IT is proud to have 2,000 active users who rely on its services to keep their businesses going, through thick and thin. Operating in a competitive field, INDIGO IT sets themselves apart from the rest thanks to their unparalleled customer-centricity and their strong commitment to excellence. The company’s team of 10 highly qualified and hardworking in-house engineers are equipped to understand the unique needs of each client and provide them with tailored solutions. To understand the extent of the excellence delivered by the INDIGO IT team, one must look no further than their performance metrics. Last year, they achieved an average response time of just 3.6 seconds when answering calls, ensuring that clients received immediate assistance whenever needed. As well as this, more than 90% of its service tickets were resolved within a single working day, demonstrating the team’s tireless efforts to resolve clients’ issues efficiently to minimise costly downtimes. INDIGO IT’s Story: More than three decades ago, INDIGO IT was founded by Owner and Managing Director Terry Galvin, who set out to establish his own IT consultancy firm. In 2008, the company became a provider of managed services related to IT support, cybersecurity, and telecommunications, aiming to serve as a partner that SMEs could call upon for all of their technological needs. A message from Terry: “From the first day of our journey, INDIGO IT have focused completely on the customer experience. When given the responsibility of managing and sustaining a technology environment for any customer or company, INDIGO IT represents an act of both faith and confidence in our ability to sustain the availability of the critical IT. INDIGO IT takes this responsibility extremely seriously, not only in terms of sustaining critical service levels but also understanding the customer’s business.” As Terry approached retirement, he began considering his exit from INDIGO IT. He recognised that selling the company would put the unique identity of the company at risk, and that his dedicated team would face displacement. For this reason, Terry began seeking a strategic partnership through which he could secure the company’s future. After an extensive search, he found the ideal business partner in Matt Elson. Terry’s collaboration with Matt was built on a wealth of shared ambition, a common moral compass, and a passion for creating an organisation greater than the sum of its parts. Since 2021, their partnership has thrived, with INDIGO IT having experienced an impressive 35% increase in turnover since Matt joined the business. This has resulted in his successful Management Buyout (MBO), projected to conclude in 2025. INDIGO IT’s Beliefs: Having operated in the IT industry for many years, INDIGO IT has witnessed the last decade’s vast technological change firsthand. In the past, larger organisations had a significant advantage due to their ability to invest in technologies that were financially unattainable for SMEs. However, this is no longer the case. With nearly all technologies readily available for businesses of all sizes, multi-million-pound budgets are no longer required to implement cutting-edge solutions. Furthermore, unlike many other companies, INDIGO IT does not rely on contracts or legal obligations. In fact, they offer all customers 30 days as standard, to retain their clients. Instead, they focus on fostering lasting, trusting relationships with their customers, some of which have been with them for over 20 years. As a result, it is no surprise that INDIGO IT has garnered a remarkable record staff of retention, which is a testament to the work it puts into supporting its employees and fostering their engagement. Similarly, clients choose to stay with the company for an average of nine years because of its high-quality services, not because of contractual obligations. INDIGO IT’s Customers: Over the years, INDIGO IT has received many positive reviews from its clients, which can be viewed on its website and on Trustpilot. “We have a long-standing relationship with INDIGO IT,” explains Kevin Edgar, Director at TBI Financial Services. “They can always be relied on to deliver solutions and, just as importantly, advice to meet our business needs. They recently moved our IT infrastructure to the cloud. INDIGO IT provides us with a range of IT services that meet all our company’s information and communication requirements.” INDIGO IT’s Future: To ensure that it stays ahead of the curve, INDIGO IT maintains a culture of continuous learning. The team undergo regular training and certification to ensure that they are up to date with technological advancement. The company also invests in research and development to identify emerging trends and add innovative solutions to its broad range of offerings.
