Taking time to provide us with an overview of the firm is Director, Gary Yates who goes into detail about the exceptional services they provide. Our High Performance Double Glazed Units result in a large amount of our windows achieving an ‘A’ for Energy Efficiency. We have a range of 16 Energy Rated windows, which all carry the BSI Kitemark certification, along with our products also being CE marked to conform with this legislation too. Also, we have been known as ‘The Home of Sash Windows’ for many years, but our product range has expanded, and we are now producers of many Energy Rated Casement windows, in both the Stormproof and Flush type, along with many door sets, including entrance doors, bifolding doors, and recently introduced, the Moralt German Engineered entrance door. Our customer base is as varied as our products, from small independent window fitters, who work from home, to national companies and local governments. All of which we consider to be equally valuable. Although we have expanded considerably in the last few years, we are in essence still a family concern. Glyngary was incorporated in 1985 by Colin Yates, our father, who created our name ‘Glyngary’ by combining the names of his two sons, Glyn and brother Gary. We share his passion for innovation and his aim to give our customers the highest quality products, value and service of any supplier in the UK. Here at Glyngary Joinery we use a wide range of timbers for our products, and recognise the importance of environmental considerations in operating the business. As a responsible organisation, we seek to follow, in all areas of our activities, policies that recognise this. It is considered that with best practices observed, wood and timber materials are the ultimate sustainable and recyclable products, requiring low energy consumption to process and being thermally efficient in use. Where possible, Glyngary will purchase timber materials from suppliers who provide independently certified timber as coming from well-managed forests by organisations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). The suppliers that we use have implemented and maintains third party audited chain of custody systems in accordance with the FSC and PEFC standards to ensure that this material is not mixed with products of unknown origin. We use the highest standards of hardware, from some of the leading suppliers, including Yale, Maco, Carlisle Brass, Hoppe & Simonswerk.
