It sells both new and used caravans on caravan holiday parks throughout Ireland and the UK, as well as to private sites. McNicholl Caravans commenced trading in 1983, with managing director Michael McNicholl at its helm. From trading with just one employee, McNicholl Caravans has grown to become one of Northern Ireland’s leading and most successful caravan sales companies. Due to the growth of the company over the years, Michael formed a limited company. It was Michael’s ambition to own his own caravan park and through determination and hard work he achieved this in 1997, with the purchase of his first caravan park in Bundoran. Today, McNicholl Caravans Ltd is the proud owner of 7 caravan parks throughout Ireland and the UK and has 18 full -time employees. McNicholl Caravans Ltd are very proud that in 2022 two of their caravan parks, namely Atlantic View Leisure Park and Carnlough Bay Holiday Park, were finalists for the Staycation of the Year Award. Ultimately, Atlantic View Leisure Park was selected as a winner for this prestigious award. As Managing Director, the company is indebted to Michael for overseeing its steady growth. His hard work and ambition guaranteed that the company went from strength to strength, enabling them to become the successful company they are today. As owner director, Michael has always ensured his employees are valued as important, integral members of the team. This is reflected when a long-term cherished employee Daphne, continued working for the company until the age of 82. Michael’s achievements have also inspired members of his own family, with his grown-up children and their partners all eager to join the business, following their father as their business mentor. As a family run business, their intention is to further expand the company.
